Writing’s release of emotion gives me catharsis. As clinic managers, we often confront high-conflict and/or high-risk situations. We may be tempted to act defensively or negatively. The release of negative emotion often causes damage. The journal allows release in a positive and private way.

The goal of this paper is to examine the benefits of mentoring to the medical practice administrator and to share some examples of mentoring. Additionally, this paper will highlight some of the professional organizations that promote mentoring. The research for this paper was conducted through interviews and through an extensive literature search.
